We recently had the pleasure of staying at Salama, an oasis of tropical bliss in Zanzibar. Our purpose was to unwind and relax, and Salama provided just that. With its beautiful garden, peaceful atmosphere, and friendly staff, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The rooms were spacious and tastefully decorated, and the breakfast was delicious with different fresh juices every morning. We enjoyed using the free bikes to explore the nearby beaches and spent many hours by the pool. Thank you to Paco and the team for a truly memorable stay!
Would be happy to recommend this hotel.

The rooms at Salama & Mbuyuni Bungalows were cozy and comfortable, making us feel right at home. We loved the private entrance and balcony in the bungalow, perfect for enjoying the beautiful pool view. The spacious seating area in the suite allowed us to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring. Having free WiFi in the room was a huge plus, especially with the kids needing entertainment.
Personally, I found the soundproofing in the bungalow to be a bit lacking.

The outdoor swimming pool was a lifesaver during the scorching heat. It felt as refreshing as diving into an oasis in the middle of the desert. The crystal-clear water was like a cool embrace, washing away all the stress and worries. I could spend hours floating and basking under the warm sun, feeling like a carefree mermaid.
No AC in single rooms.

The place had a great vibe and beautiful surroundings with lush gardens and pools. the rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. It offered good value for money, and the beach was just a short walk away. I also appreciated the cozy spots to relax and work in. it felt like a home away from home.
While there were some local dining options nearby, the overall food choices were limited. the owners seemed a bit too involved in guests' activities, which made me feel a bit monitored.
